Mainframe IMS and DB2 Manager Chicago, IL (Hybrid onsite) Contract to Hire Mainframe IMS and DB2 Manager, where you'll lead critical mainframe database teams and drive the success of sophisticated technology initiatives. Required Skills and Education: At least 10 years of experience managing and administering mainframe databases, including tools, facilities, and techniques Proficiency with current Mainframe DB2 and IMS management systems Experience with IMS Managed ACBs preferred Strong knowledge of database design methodologies, data modeling, and relational database concepts Skilled in SQL, stored procedures, functions, and creating database objects Extensive experience with IMS and DB2 utilities, with BMC Software utilities being a plus Background in incident, problem, and change management in an operational/support role Experience monitoring Mainframe Infrastructure and Databases, preferably with BMC AMI Ops (“Mainview”) Excellent technical, analytical, and leadership skills Clear communication skills, both verbal and written Preferred Skills/Experience: Hogan experience would be highly beneficial, though recognized as a "purple squirrel" Experience using ServiceNow Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience A minimum of 10 years relevant mainframe database management experience
