Applications Engineer – Automotive Structures (Dearborn, MI) We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer – General to support the design and release of subframe structures and tow hook systems at the Product Development Center in Dearborn, MI. This role is ideal for a strong Design & Release Engineer (DRE) who can take components from concept through production launch while ensuring quality, durability, and manufacturability. Key Focus: · Lead subframe/tow hook design reviews and approvals · Support launch and resolve engineering issues · Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, and engineering specs · Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers · Drive durability, cost, and warranty improvements What We’re Looking For: · Experience in Design & Release Engineering (frames, structures, or chassis components) · Strong automotive product development and launch experience · Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA and vehicle durability fundamentals · Ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues · Mechanical Engineering degree preferred · 3 years of relevant experience
