Job Overview
Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Intelligence Consultant with deep expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Synapse Analytics. This role will support enterprise-scale analytics initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making across investment, operational, and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth, advanced analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable business insights within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability
- Build and maintain tabular/semantic models using Power BI, Analysis Services, or Microsoft Fabric
- Develop and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Work extensively with Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing, analytics, and performance tuning
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric to support modern BI and analytics architectures
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, DAX/MDX calculations, and data models
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Support and enhance enterprise BI standards and analytics frameworks
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or data engineering
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
- Data modeling and transformations
- DAX measures and calculations
- Visualizations and dashboard design
- Performance optimization
- 3 years of experience with Azure cloud services, specifically:
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX/MDX
- Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise tabular/semantic models
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, Semantic Models)
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis or automation
- Prior experience in financial services or investment management environments
Salary : $60 - $70
