Job Title: Application Support Engineer (Production Support)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join the FIT Support team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in production/application support, SQL, Linux, scripting, and job scheduling tools. This role requires providing application, batch, user, and trading support in a fast-paced financial services environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in rotational shifts.
Required Skills
- 3 years of experience in Application/Production Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL (RDBMS).
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
- Experience with Shell Scripting.
- Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Airflow, or similar schedulers.
- Basic scripting/programming experience (Shell, Python, or similar).
- Experience supporting production applications in a BFSI/Capital Markets environment.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income or Multi-Asset applications is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide production and application support for business-critical applications.
- Monitor and support batch jobs, user requests, and trading applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve application or code-related problems.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and resolve job failures.
- Execute SQL queries for data analysis and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve production incidents.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
- Ensure application availability and system stability.
