INTO Suffolk is a partnership between Suffolk University and INTO University Partnerships. Together, we support international students as they build English-language proficiency, academic confidence, and a clear pathway into undergraduate or graduate degree programs at Suffolk University.

About the Role

As an International Program Specialist, you will be a vital member of the INTO Suffolk team, playing a central role in student engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction. You’ll work closely with colleagues across admissions, recruitment, marketing, academics, enrollment, student engagement, and university operations to ensure international students feel supported from pre-arrival through matriculation and degree entry.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, culturally responsive, proactive, and energized by working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your work will directly contribute to positive student experiences, strong student persistence, and successful academic progression.

What You’ll Do

Student Engagement & Success

  • Support international students from pre-arrival through matriculation in collaboration with university and INTO partners
  • Work closely with departments such as Residence Life, Counseling, Health & Wellness, Public Safety, International Student Services, Student Affairs, and the Career Center
  • Help plan and deliver orientations, workshops, airport pickups, student dinners, and cultural or community-building programs
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that promotes belonging and integration into the wider campus community
  • Track student attendance, engagement, and feedback to help improve programs and services

Marketing & Communications

  • Support creation and distribution of student-facing and recruitment materials using tools like Canva
  • Coordinate branding alignment and approval workflows with Suffolk and INTO North America marketing teams
  • Assist with pre-arrival communications, onboarding content, and orientation presentations
  • Help manage communication workflows for students, agents, and partners, including newsletters, WhatsApp groups, and outreach templates
  • Capture and edit photo and video content to support recruitment, orientation, and engagement efforts
  • Guide student workers in creating authentic, student-generated content such as testimonials and social media features
  • Support logistics for campus visits, prospective student tours, events, and agent familiarization (FAM) trips

Operations & Collaboration

  • Coordinate administrative processes related to enrollment, placement testing, program changes, registration support, and student records
  • Maintain organized systems for documents, calendars, meetings, and cross-functional workflows
  • Update and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support efficient and consistent operations
  • Support data accuracy, compliance, and reporting across systems such as Salesforce, Slate, and Banner
  • Manage operational resources for events and student engagement activities, including vendor coordination and inventory tracking
  • Collaborate with key campus partners including the Registrar, Advising, Residence Life, Marketing & Communications, and International Student Services to ensure a seamless student experience
  • Provide guidance to interns or student employees as needed
  • Support INTO Suffolk’s participation in campus-wide events and initiatives
