Bookkeeper
Location: Mountain Home
Job Type: Part-Time- 30-40 Hours per week
Reports To: Development Director
Job Summary:
We are a faith-based organization, seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Medicaid Biller/HR Administrator to join our team and manage our organization’s financial records and ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping processes and bill Medicaid. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining organized records, and assisting with reporting and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, payments, and purchases
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly
- Maintain and update the general ledger
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable on required systems
- Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax withholdings
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Review financials with executive staff and present monthly to Board
- Support accountants or auditors during audits and annual tax filings
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant laws/regulations
- Manage expense tracking and budget monitoring
- Provide required reports and documentation to other staff for grants reimbursements
- Create and maintain employee files, ensuring new hire documentation is completed
- Be the liaison between the health Insurance provider and employees during annual enrollment and as needed for questions, changes cancellations and maintaining files
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Medicaid Billing, or similar)
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and the Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
Salary and Benefits:
