What are the responsibilities and job description for the Punch Press Operator (Day Shift) position at Intex?
Punch Press Operator (Day shift 6am-2pm)
Notification to management pertaining to mechanical or quality issues that may arise during production hours.
Quality checks of the products the machine produces (e.g.: Measure holes using Intex print to verify holes are in the proper location and proper profile is being used).
Record necessary information on production sheet or on computer for production control.
Wear all required PPE while working on the plant floor.
Responsibilities may involve performing maintenance of the punch press during or after a production run. (After proper training).
Proper packing of material upon completion of the punch press process.
Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.
Ensure production pieces/Hour are met throughout the shift.
Other duties may be required depending on production needs.
SAFETY-QUALITY-PRODUCTIVITY in that order, at all times.
This job may require the physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting. Continuous lifting to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, and use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.
Requirements
High School Diplomia/ GED.
Experience operating a punch press.
Must posess the ability to read tape measure, caliper, & blueprints to perform quality assurance inspections. (willing to train)
Must wear proper PPE at all times.
Must have excellent attendance and work ethic
Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed
Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed
