Warehouse Management Trainee

Intex Recreation Corp. is an entrepreneurial industry leader in selling and marketing Inflatable Airbeds, Above Ground Pools, Pool Accessories and Portable Spa’s with significant sales growth plans. Our well-known products are sold throughout North America to mass merchants, e-commerce retailers and other miscellaneous retail customers.
We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Management Trainee to be a key contributor to our growth and grow into a manager’s role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities of existing warehouse operations including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, labor management, shipping, receiving and personnel training.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling, transportation requirements by studying existing and new rules and legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements and advising warehouse management as needed on required actions.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse(s), ensures good equipment maintenance and recommends replacement(s) as needed.
- Monitor key operational KPI’s supporting company objectives and report monthly on results and corrective actions as needed.
- Supervise daily operations in a cost effective manner.
- Supports the hiring, training and daily scheduling of staff at all levels to ensure continuity of labor, meeting operational requirements and continuous learning of all employees.
- Supports front line staff by coaching, counseling and teaching both full time and part time employees Intex processes and practices.
- Supports the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of the operation including IT as needed.
Experience Preferred:
- 1 -3 years logistics experience in CPG and mass market distribution.
- Omni-channel distribution experience with emphasis on e-commerce.
- Familiar with U.S. domestic transportation of omni-channel freight options
- Comfortable with delivering direct written and oral feedback.
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff.
- Basic working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
- Understanding of Kaizen principles
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering (a Plus)
Travel:
- Must be capable of travel both domestically and internationally for management progression.
