Carrier Relations Manager
We are actively recruiting for a Carrier Relations Manager to join the InterWest team, in our Corporate Services Department. The Carrier Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with insurance carrier partners. This role supports the production teams in achieving organizational growth objectives and acts as a liaison between the company and carrier partners.
This position will be based in our Sacramento office.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities for the position include the items listed below. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Promote the organizational goals and operational strategies.
- Set and tracking goals for market share and growth.
- Facilitate implementing strategies for premium growth by identifying and targeting appropriate markets.
- Provide day-to-day support for carrier relationships, including helping resolve routine issues.
- Maintain and update carrier intelligence tools and databases.
- Participate in carrier business planning meetings and monitor progress.
- Track carrier production numbers and compare with business plans.
- Attend marketing and carrier meetings and provide updates as needed.
- Track the contingent commission plans.
- Advise management on the evaluation of potential new carrier appointments or terminations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of group programs with carriers.
- Share marketing intelligence with production and management teams.
- Assist production teams in identifying viable markets or referral sources.
- Maintain current producer profile information.
- Participate in agency councils and sales meetings as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience appropriate for the position.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in insurance, marketing, sales, or underwriting.
Licensing: Must have (or obtain within the first 6 moths) and maintain applicable Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License.
Special Requirements: Must have valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle or appropriate and authorized mode of transportation, and be able to comply with InterWest Insurance Services Personal Auto Usage Policy.
The estimated starting compensation range for this full-time position is $90,000 – $120,000 annually, plus benefits.
Compensation for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and geographical location. The hiring range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
