Location: Wexford, Pennsylvania
Position: Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Pain Management
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours
Interventional Pain & Spine Center (IPSC) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing outpatient pain management practice in Wexford, PA.
This position is ideal for an NP interested in developing expertise in pain management, musculoskeletal medicine, spine disorders, headache management, and comprehensive non-surgical treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions.
The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the physician and clinical team in a collaborative specialty-practice environment.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will:
* Evaluate new and established patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
* Obtain comprehensive histories and perform focused neurological and musculoskeletal examinations
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising/collaborating physician
* Manage common spine and musculoskeletal disorders, including:
* Cervical and lumbar spine pain
* Lumbar and cervical radiculopathy
* Degenerative disc disease
* Spinal stenosis
* Sacroiliac joint pain
* Osteoarthritis and joint pain
* Myofascial pain
* Neuropathic pain
* Headache and migraine disorders
* Other acute and chronic pain conditions
* Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing, including MRI, CT, X-rays, and electrodiagnostic studies
* Review laboratory and outside medical records
* Provide medication management when clinically appropriate
* Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, procedures, rehabilitation, and lifestyle modification
* Identify patients who may benefit from interventional pain procedures and coordinate treatment with the physician
* Perform appropriate office-based procedures based on training, competency, credentialing, and scope of practice
* Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
* Assist with prior authorizations, peer-to-peer reviews, and clinical documentation when medically necessary
* Communicate effectively with referring physicians, primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals
* Participate in quality-improvement initiatives and help maintain efficient clinical workflows
* Follow all IPSC clinical, compliance, documentation, and patient-safety policies
Qualifications
Required:
* Current or eligible Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner licensure
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* National NP certification
* Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one
* Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
* Strong documentation and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient specialty practice
* Commitment to professional, respectful, and patient-centered care
