Title: Criminal Justice Case Management Team Lead
Pay: $25.76/hr

OVERVIEW
Assists in the day-to-day planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of Intervention programs, services, and employees of the office; provides case management for a reduced caseload of residential clients to help them successfully complete their program by applying appropriate behavioral change techniques while providing supervision and monitoring compliance according to Intervention policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
- Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and supervision of assigned program/office.
- Train staff as needed on variety of topic areas.
- Provide direction and guidance to other staff on routine and non-routine assignments.
- Completes caseload reviews and audits, and monitors compliance with policies, procedures and standards.
- Assist management in hiring process as required.
- Provide timely and accurate input and feedback to manager on performance of staff, address issues as appropriate.
- Assist in ensuring daily operations run efficiently, including but not limited to scheduling staff, assigning work, and providing coverage to include supervisory duties.
- Complete variety of administrative tasks such as compiling and entering data, and creating reports.
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely case file, both paper and electronic, for each client on caseload. Complete all written reports concerning clients in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Enter client data, into electronic databases, including CCIB, accurately, timely and completely.
- Perform assessments/reassessments as required.
- Develop individualized supervision case plan for each client based upon established protocols and client needs.
- Detail and explain verbally to the client, the client’s program expectations and case plan to ensure that the client understands his/her responsibilities.
- Meets with client per policy to evaluate progress in accomplishing case plan and sentencing requirements, administer rewards and sanctions according to established policies and procedures.
- Reviews client documentation at each office visit.
- Conduct orientation meetings with new clients and explain program rules and regulations.
- Report all program violations to the referral agency via the established Intervention policies.
- To ensure community safety; Case Manager will approve and track client’s access to community and update as needed.
- Assist each client in developing personal budget plan, monitor balance and provide financial statement to clients.
- Review client financial obligations and status at least monthly to ensure restitution and child support payments are paid in accordance with court requirements.
- Refers clients to community resources as appropriate and maintains communication throughout service.
- Work with courts, probation and other law enforcement agencies regarding client staffing/compliance to include facilitation in unsuccessful terminations.
- May conduct home visits to verify clients’ residence. Drive Company van while accompanied by another staff member.
- Observe drug and alcohol tests as required according to established policies and procedure.
- Pull and enter UA results as needed.
- Provide own transportation to travel to other sites or locations as needed, including in adverse weather.
- Testify in court regarding clients.
- Attend required trainings and apply skills and knowledge.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, a social science or other closely related field.
- SUBSTITUTION FOR EDUCATION: Work experience in the areas of counseling, social work, law enforcement, corrections or community supervision which provided the same kind, amount, and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor's degree.
- And at least one year related experience and/or training in criminal justice, community corrections, or general corrections field work with an offender population required, including experience working with specialized population
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated proficiency in general population case management
- Demonstrated experience in applying Motivational Interviewing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a variety of constituents
- Ability to complete assessments and develop case plans
- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate staff through application of Company values
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
- Must pass background check and be granted access to state criminal databases
