What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Inspection Operator (3:30pm - 2am M-Th) position at Intervala,LLC?

We are growing and hiring AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) operators for our growing 2nd shift! As an AOI Operator you’ll be the quality control detective, inspecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to make sure they meet customer requirements and workmanship standards. Your role is essential to ensuring that our products are as flawless as the technology they support.
You will:
- Review AOI output to assess PCBA quality
- Spot recurring manufacturing defects and collaborate with the SMT Operator, Production Coordinator, and Process Engineer to resolve them
- Catch false calls and help fine-tune AOI programs
- Log defects in the MES system with precision
- Recommend documentation improvements for better quality outcomes
- Continue developing your inspection and AOI skills through hands-on training
- Assist with x-ray inspection as needed
What You Bring to the Table:
- An eye for detail – you can spot what others might miss
- Solid visual inspection skills
- Intermediate computer skills and comfort working with data
- Patience and focus for detailed, repetitive tasks
- Basic understanding of electronic components
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Willingness to grow – IPC-610 certification required within 3-6 months (we’ll support you!)
Bonus Points If You Have:
- 1 year in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with SMT lines or inspection equipment
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
