Job Summary & Essential Functions
As an IT Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced IT professionals to provide support and assistance for the organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting the organization's computer systems, and other related hardware and software components.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Monitor servers and network equipment
- Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Ensure IT security and compliance with policies and procedures
- Account management and password resets.
- Manage all facility badge access
- Document and maintain IT infrastructure inventory and procedures
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to provide effective IT support and services
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work on different IT projects and assignments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Required Experience & Education
- Working toward a degree in Computer Science or has an HS degree or GED and working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking and areas mentioned above.
