The Materials Testing Lab Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of Construction Materials laboratory testing under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you’ll do:
- Perform Construction materials laboratory testing on concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt
- Populate laboratory test data on standard company forms
- Maintain detailed tracking and logging procedures for samples delivered to the Pittsburgh, PA laboratory
- Occasionally assist on project sites out of the office in sampling materials, retrieving materials, or testing materials.
- Work under the direct supervision of a CMT Department Manager
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound
- Ability to kneel and squat occasionally
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of laboratory experience preferred, however willing to train
- ACI Certification preferred but not required
