Overview

Are you ready to advance your career with a leader in industrial electrical engineering, construction, and automation? We are growing our presence and are currently seeking a Business Development Representative based in South Dakota or Minnesota, to join our dynamic team.

 

About the Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving sales growth across diverse industries. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business and technical challenges, develop tailored solutions, and communicate the value of our services.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, interview, evaluate, and qualify potential clients.
  • Diagnose business and technical challenges faced by prospects.
  • Assist in developing and presenting proposals to clients.
  • Lead efforts to secure signed contracts.
  • Regularly visit clients to assess satisfaction and identify additional needs.
  • Build industry knowledge, expertise, and a robust client network.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and educational events.
  • Conduct industry research and contribute to strategic direction setting.
  • Clearly communicate our value proposition to customers.
  • Lead proposal teams by establishing a clear value proposition for the client.
  • Maintain organized records of meetings, phone calls, and emails.
  • Plan and organize sales calls and educational activities for clients and prospects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: A 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology is preferred.

Experience: 2-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably selling services. Experience in construction is a plus.

Location & Travel:

This role is based in or near South Dkota and Minnesota, with frequent travel (50-75%) across the Midwest for client and industry meetings.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $80-100K benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility.
