Job Type: Part-time Pay Range: $35 - $45 per hour Job Location: Victorville Ca.
We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient hospital team in Victorville CA. You will execute physical rehabilitative programs to impove patient quality of life. This is mainly a Tues-Thurs position, 8am-4:30pm. It can be 1,2, or 3 days per week. We are a community hospital with an acute rehab unit which helps individuals regain their independence, growing cardiovascular services, outpatient wound care services, highly attentive physical and occupational therapies, and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. You will provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities. You’ll achieve success by:
- Reviewing patients medical history
- Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person
- Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
- Developing individualized treatment plans for patients with clear goals and expected outcomes
- Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
- Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
Qualifications:
- Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure in good standing in insert state
- CPR and first aid certification required

- Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
- Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise Instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
- Observe patients during treatments and reports observations to Physical Therapist
- Communicate with staff and other health team members, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
- Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
- Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice required.
