This role requires participation in an on-call rotation to provide emergency service support outside regular business hours.**Key Responsibilities**-
- Repairs and Maintenance**: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, at customer locations.-
- Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.-
- On-Call Rotation**: Participate in the on-call schedule to respond to emergency service requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions to minimize customer downtime.-
- Customer Interaction**: Communicate professionally with customers to explain diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance procedures, ensuring clear understanding and satisfaction.-
- Documentation**: Complete detailed service reports, including parts used, labor hours, and work performed, adhering to company standards and procedures.-
- Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.-
- Tool and Equipment Management**: Maintain and organize company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicles to ensure operational readiness.-
- Continuous Learning**: Stay updated on industry advancements, manufacturer specifications, and new equipment technologies through training and self-study.**Qualifications**-
- Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician or similar role, working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment (e.g., construction, agricultural, or industrial machinery).-
- Technical Skills**: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains. Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools (e.g., Cummins INSITE, CAT ET, or similar).-
- Certifications**: Valid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred. ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Cummins, Caterpillar, or Kenworth) are a plus.-
- Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift to 50 lbs., work in various weather conditions, and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.-
- Availability**: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.-
- Soft Skills**: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and customer service abilities.-
- Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair preferred.**Work Environment**-
