Multiple Shifts Available | Omaha, NE
Interstate Power Systems $35.00 - $50.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

What You'll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems
- Perform troubleshooting on electrical, fuel, cooling, drivetrain, hydraulic, and aftertreatment systems
- Complete preventative maintenance and major component repairs
- Use diagnostic software, technical manuals, and computerized troubleshooting tools
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend repair solutions
- Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
- Work safely and efficiently while delivering high-quality workmanship
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a diesel technician, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, fleet mechanic, truck technician, or related role
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel-powered equipment
- Experience with electronic diagnostics and repair software is preferred
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications
- OEM certifications (Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Allison, Volvo, MTU, or similar)
- Technical school or diesel technology training
- CDL or willingness to obtain one
- Advanced diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting experience
