Interstate Power System’s Sioux Falls South Dakota location is looking for an Outside Parts and Service Sales Representative. Outside Parts and Service Sales Representatives fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for increasing Parts and Service Sales with existing accounts, prospecting for new accounts, and promoting our rental & equipment sales departments. They solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services, and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.
A company vehicle, laptop and cell phone will be provided with this position .

Parts Sales Representative Job Duties
- The duties of this position will be to actively promote parts and service sales of our heavy-duty equipment lines in the assigned territory, as well as promote rental department sales & capabilities, and drive equipment sales growth.
- Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share and sales of parts and service.
- Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.
Parts Sales Representative Desired Skills and Qualities
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- A self-starter who can identify the strengths present in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan.
- Proven background in sales
- Clear driving record
- Available for overnight travel
- High school degree or equivalent required
- 3 years recent/relevant experience with outside sales
- Experience in distribution, industrial and/or heavy equipment a plus
