Purpose Of Job
The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested. They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.
Job Components
- Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed
- Load and unload batteries
- General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers
- Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner
- Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies
- Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation
- Accurately complete reports and claims
- Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers
- Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math
- Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
- Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
- Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift
- Works under general supervision and guidance
- Accountable for general warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.
- Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude
- Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
- Repetitive lifting.
- Consistent sitting, standing and walking
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
- Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle
- Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
