Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trailer Sales Representative with a proven track record in semi-trailer or heavy equipment sales. This role is not entry-level. The ideal candidate understands the trucking industry, can confidently close deals, and knows how to manage customers from first contact to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Sell new (occasionally used) flatbed and step deck trailers
- Handle inbound leads and actively prospect new customers
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with owner-operators and fleets
- Understand customer needs and recommend the right equipment
- Negotiate pricing, close sales, and manage follow-ups
- Coordinate with management on inventory and custom orders
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales records
Requirements (Must Have)
- Proven experience selling semi-trailers, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles
- Strong understanding of the trucking industry
- Demonstrated ability to close deals consistently
- Professional communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing book of business or industry contacts
- Experience with flatbeds, step decks, or specialty trailers
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Familiarity with CRM systems
