Job Title: GIS Analyst – Project Lead (9024)
Location: Columbia, SC 29223

Candidate Location Requirement: Must be a CURRENT South Carolina resident – No relocation allowed
Scope of the Project
- Migrate Oracle Spatial databases maintained through GeoMedia
- Convert databases to SQL maintained through ESRI Roads and Highways
- Perform software upgrades and data conversion
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and spatial correctness throughout migration
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce digital and hard-copy maps using advanced GIS/Mapping applications
- Perform GIS data collection, maintenance, and spatial analysis
- Update database tables to reflect changes in GIS features used in mapping and analysis
- Perform quality control on new and existing GIS data to ensure spatial accuracy
- Assist with development and maintenance of GIS procedure manuals
- Conduct software and procedure research/testing as assigned
- Support data migration efforts and software upgrade activities
- Perform additional related GIS tasks as assigned by management
Required Skills
- 3 years of experience working with GIS/Mapping software and applications
- 3 years of experience working with a spatial database
- 3 years of cartographic experience
- 1 year of experience with database design
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience performing GIS data quality control and validation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro
- Experience working with SQL databases
- Experience with ArcGIS Roads and Highways Extension
- Experience supporting Oracle Spatial to SQL migrations
- Experience with GeoMedia environments
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
