PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

This is an entry level position that oversees the personnel training program, develops work instructions, documents best practices and collects feedback of current work practices. This position will also work closely with Maintenance to strengthen and develop the TPM program. This position is also responsible for the plant safety program. 

 

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as required by needs of company.

  1. Collaborate with the operations team to deliver on-the-job training and document work processes.


  1.  Support the continuous improvement department in developing and enhancing documented work instructions.


  1. Aid segment leads and personnel in conducting machine setup training.


  1. Coordinate cross-training programs to enhance workforce flexibility.


  1.  Conduct necessary training on topics such as new equipment, processes, revisions, and annual refreshers.


  1.  Support Team Leads in the training of new hires and assist in facilitating workshops and improvement events across production teams.



  1. Maintain and organize the MSDS database, ensuring the accuracy and currency of all relevant information.


  1. Schedule and facilitate annual and monthly training sessions, coordinating with outside contractors when necessary.


  1. Distribute monthly toolbox talks to promote safety awareness and encourage a vigilant culture among employees.


  1. Support the implementation of training programs focused on Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.


  1. Conduct thorough investigations into workplace injuries, identifying root causes and proposing preventive measures.


  1. Act as the onsite liaison for addressing action items related to the safety program, fostering a proactive safety approach within the organization.


  1. Develop and maintain training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.


  1. Coordinate and oversee annual updates to the safety program, integrating the latest industry standards and best practices.


  1. Organize and lead monthly safety meetings to discuss crucial safety issues, share insights, and reinforce safety protocols.


  1. Conduct regular inspections of eyewash stations and fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the availability of functional emergency equipment. 


  1. All other duties as assigned.



 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Possess two or more years of experience working with Interroll products.
  2. Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals.
  3. Possess basic communication skills using common courtesy.
  4. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving limited concrete variables in standardized situations.


 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle; employee must regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to seventy pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. 


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration. The noise level in this environment is usually loud.
