PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION: 

This position is responsible to provide operational support to the Leadership Team in all areas of production regarding scheduling. They must have a strong understanding of procedures related to the operations of manufacturing.  

  1. Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and manufacturing objectives.
  2. Plan, release, and manage production orders in SAP to support manufacturing operations.
  3. Monitor and maintain planning data required to execute MRP planning runs, including lead times, safety stock levels, order policies, and planning parameters.
  4. Coordinate functional department activities to ensure the timely movement of products through the manufacturing process and adherence to planned schedules.
  5. Review production order status and identify potential delays, capacity constraints, or material shortages that may impact delivery commitments.
  6. Assist Sales and Customer Service in developing accurate customer delivery dates and ensure adherence to commitments.
  7. Evaluate the impact of schedule changes and make recommendations to management regarding alternatives and recovery plans.
  8. Coordinate with manufacturing personnel to ensure production schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with available resources.
  9. Assist manufacturing in planning load levels, production capacity, and manpower requirements.
  10. Coordinate schedules with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, and other departments to support efficient production flow.
  11. Supervise and expedite priority production orders and revise schedules as required to offset delays and maintain customer commitments.
  12. Act as a liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Service, and other departments on matters related to production schedules, methods, materials, and product changes.
  13. Analyze production performance, schedule attainment, and capacity utilization, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  14. Maintain accurate planning records and system data to support production control and reporting requirements.
  15. Generate and distribute reports related to production schedules, order status, inventory levels, and key planning metrics.
  16. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  17. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field would be preferred.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.


 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, or handle; employee must regularly reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and/or vibration. The noise level in this environment is usually loud.
