DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement new products, with direction from Engineering Manager, based on products developed at the global Center of Excellence (COE).
- Support product rollouts at an operational level within the Americas region.
- Act as a regional lead engineer and project manager for the Drum Motor product line.
- Interpret product requirements and provide guidance to mechanical designers for generation of 3D CAD models and detail 2D parts drawings.
- Maintain item masters, bill of materials, and routings within the SAP ERP system.
- Manage engineering requests and creation of part numbers pertinent to the Drum Motor product line.
- Support production, repair, and quality related activities for the product line.
- Provide technical support to internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
- Evaluate technical feasibility of new business opportunities and be the liaison for balancing customer needs with COE platform standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment for electromechanical products.
- Proficiency in a 3D modeling software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across different unique cultures and global locations.
- Prior experience in managing technical projects.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter possessing good emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a fast-paced team.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with SharePoint, SAP, and/or Autodesk Inventor
- Problem-solving ability with a focus on root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
- Technical writing skills as they pertain to creation of component specifications, technical reports, and presentations for leadership, sales teams, and customers.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six-Sigma.
