What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat Technician position at Interroll Corporation?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Powder Coater Operator is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance painting duties within the manufacturing plant, including a full range of specialized painting projects. These include, but are not limited to painting fabricated parts structures, perform inspections, clean ups, proper storage and disposal of paint products and operating various tools and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare parts for painting.
- Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application.
- Operate all coating equipment including handguns, paint unit, and booth waste collection system.
- Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
- Determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality by performing visual inspection.
- Ability to use industrial oven to bake part at appropriate temperature within time limitations.
- Knowledge of thermosetting resin coating, wash and pretreatments.
- Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performance.
- Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility.
- Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.
- Successfully load and unload parts.
- Proper cleaning and good knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipment.
- Package and protection of completed powder coated for shipment.
- Identifying, picking, weighing, and returning powder boxes correctly to proper location.

- The ability to lift 50lbs. when required.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, and bend for most of your shift.
EDUCATION:
GED or High School Diploma.
