About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead and oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity while supporting business decision-making.
This position is based in Miami and requires professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, as you will collaborate with cross-border teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with applicable regulations (US GAAP preferred)
- Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Review and validate account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and fixed assets control
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different regions
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in general accounting
- Strong experience in financial close and audits
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or professional services is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
Languages:
- Fluent English (mandatory)
- Fluent Spanish (mandatory)
