We are looking for a Communications Generalist for our Marketing Department. The applicant selected will assist in planning, creating, delivering, and managing company communications utilizing a broad range of media. If this interests you, please read on!
EDUCATION:
Required: B.A./B.S. in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related field. 3 to 5 years’ experience within a corporate or non-profit communications team or equivalent.
JOB DUTIES:
· Collaborates with Director of Communications, Design Director, Sales Manager and Human Resources Director to develop communications that support a wide variety of initiatives.
· Creates and edits compelling written content, print collateral (including advertising and catalog layouts), still photography, audio and video.
· Executes communications to print, presentation software, web, social media and trade show exhibitions.
· Manages projects: Sets and meets deadlines, budgets, and contracts with external vendors such as printers, content/product creators, media outlets, and other service providers.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere Rush.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and collaboration/streaming platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom and YouTube Live and Facebook Live.
IN-PERSON HOURS (Pittsfield, Mass.):
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. 1 hour lunch break.
