GENERAL SUMMARY
The Modification Shop Operation Associate is responsible for performing and supporting various operational and administrative tasks within the Modification Shop and the Sales inbound & outbound gate. Duties include receiving sales unit deliveries, managing inventory, processing container sales transactions, and maintaining system records in the company’s ERP system.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Process container sales transaction at the TIR booth and provide coverage as needed
- Conduct cycle counts and complete various checklists to ensure smooth functional business operations
- Operate RF scanners
- Communicate internally regarding Modification Shop-related matters and coordinate with Sales Yard staff as needed to ensure customer service
- Assist with traffic control in the yard
- Utilize NetSuite for various operational tasks
- Perform quality work, individually and as a team member, with and without direct supervision
- Participate in Interport safety programs and ensure adherence to workplace policies and procedures
- Assist with special projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods at a time
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to commute to Newark, NJ, with a valid driver's license in good standing
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office,
- Ability to use an ERP system (NetSuite)
Employment is subject to the completion of due-diligence inquiries, including a background check and a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen, which will take place after a conditional offer is made.
PREFERRED/PLUS
- Experience in warehousing and inventory management
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and the hours of work are weekdays between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional overtime hours including weekends.
