Modification Shop Operation Associate

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Modification Shop Operation Associate is responsible for performing and supporting various operational and administrative tasks within the Modification Shop and the Sales inbound & outbound gate. Duties include receiving sales unit deliveries, managing inventory, processing container sales transactions, and maintaining system records in the company’s ERP system.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Process container sales transaction at the TIR booth and provide coverage as needed
• Conduct cycle counts and complete various checklists to ensure smooth functional business operations
• Operate RF scanners
• Communicate internally regarding Modification Shop-related matters and coordinate with Sales Yard staff as needed to ensure customer service
• Assist with traffic control in the yard
• Utilize NetSuite for various operational tasks
• Perform quality work, individually and as a team member, with and without direct supervision
• Participate in Interport safety programs and ensure adherence to workplace policies and procedures
• Assist with special projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit, stand, or walk for extended periods at a time
• Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to commute to Newark, NJ, with a valid driver's license in good standing
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office,
• Ability to use an ERP system (NetSuite)

Employment is subject to the completion of due-diligence inquiries, including a background check and a pre-employment medical examination including a drug and alcohol screen, which will take place after a conditional offer is made.

PREFERRED/PLUS

• Experience in warehousing and inventory management
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

• Carrying heavy materials and making repetitive motions while painting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and the hours of work are weekdays between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with occasional overtime hours including weekends.
