Job Description
Interpath Laboratory is expanding into Omaha, and we are looking for a skilled histologist ready to take their next step into leadership. As a Histology Supervisor with us, you will oversee daily operations, guide a dedicated team, and help drive innovation in digital pathology.
In this role you will:
- Lead and mentor histology team in specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, IHC, and special procedures.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Oversee workflow, equipment maintenance, and quality control programs.
- Support the integration of digital pathology and AI platforms in collaboration with pathologists and IT.
- Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and professional growth within the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or Chemistry. Education levels to qualify as high complexity testing personnel under CLIA-88 regulations may be required.
Licensure/Certification: ASCP (HTL) required.
Experience: At least 5 years of histology experience, strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality.

General Physical Requirements
- Regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples.
- Typically Stands for extended period of times
- Lift up to 25 pounds.
- Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis.
- Wearing appropriate protective gear: Lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield.
This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
