Our growing company is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to play a critical role in determining the global demand plan for the enterprise. Some key functions include inventory allocation, KPI reporting, SKU rationalization, and overall process improvement.
This position is based in office from Mondays-Thursdays, and remote on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production and sales forecasting across multiple brands and items with diverse distribution, volatility, and seasonality.
- Partner with regional Sales teams to evaluate promotional plans, activations, and distribution changes, incorporating impacts into forecast projections.
- Optimize inventory allocation across multiple warehouses, executing transfers to meet customer demand based on shipment location and timing.
- Own and lead a bi-annual SKU rationalization process, identifying low-performing products and presenting discontinuation recommendations to Marketing leadership and the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Conduct quarterly Forecast Accuracy & Bias reporting by SKU and brand level. Also fulfill goal KPIs of 65-70% accuracy and / 10% bias for each brand.
- Develop and present production budget recommendations during monthly S&OP meetings with the Chief Executive Officer, supported by data-driven analysis and demand insights.
- Build and recommend new product launch forecasts using historical “like-as” item analysis, distribution assumptions, and cross-functional Sales and Marketing feedback; evaluate portfolio impact including cannibalization and halo effects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Material Planning, Global Trade Marketing, and Global Marketing to ensure alignment across brand visions and end-to-end supply chain.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 4 years of experience specializing in demand forecasting, data analytics, and inventory management.
- Experience in the Beauty/CPG/Luxury industries preferred
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data modeling, and PivotTables.
- Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, startup-like environment with high visibility and direct exposure to C-suite executives.
- Experience in retail replenishment for primary, wholesale, and ecommerce markets.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data and ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
