Technical Lead – Private Markets & Fund Accounting

Location: Malvern, PA — Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Rate: $50–$60/hour W2

Relocation: Non-local candidates willing to relocate will be considered.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to design and lead the development of a private equity technology platform supporting fund valuation and Net Asset Value (NAV) oversight. The ideal candidate will bring strong private markets experience, fund accounting technology knowledge, and deep AWS expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of solutions supporting private markets and alternative investments.
• Build capabilities for fund valuation, fund accounting, and NAV oversight.
• Design data pipelines to process structured and unstructured investment data.
• Integrate market data and third-party investment platforms.
• Develop AI-assisted reconciliation and workflow automation capabilities.
• Partner with investment, fund accounting, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and oversee the delivery of scalable AWS-based solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on technology experience within private markets, private equity, or alternative investments.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting, NAV calculations, valuation processes, and fund oversight.
• Extensive experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
• Strong data engineering skills, including processing unstructured data and integrating external data sources.
• Experience with reconciliation processes and workflow automation.
• Ability to lead technical delivery and collaborate with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Canoe, MSCI, or similar investment technology platforms.
• Experience applying AI to reconciliation and investment data workflows.
• Established professional network within the private markets technology industry.
