Front End Developer - Styling
Duration
6 months to start, long term expectation. Project & budget is expected to be approved into FY26

M-Th in-office; WFH Friday. No exceptions. San Francisco, CA
Team Overview
This is an ecommerce web development team, but different than a standard development team this team is focused on brand-specific styling.
While a typical developer will be part of a scrum team with a product manager, building new features, this developer is different. They are primarily partnering WSI Brand partners (i.e. Site Manager) and Creative teams to make styling changes to the website on a brand by brand basis. It's not "deep" front end development work. This position will be supporting Pottery Barn Kids/Teens.
Duties/Day To Day Overview
Partner cross functionally with WSI Brands to support maintenance and change requests for brand-specific websites
Write code that is of high quality and consistent with our coding standards
Write automated tests of new features to ensure they are of very high quality
Facilitate problem diagnosis and resolution in relevant areas
Review the work of other engineers in a collegial fashion to ensure the work product is of high quality and consistent with our standards
Work with business partners to improve the website
Develop strong working relationships across levels and functions

Top Requirements
(Must haves)
- 2-5 years of experience in software engineering/development
- Experience with Core/Vanilla JavaScript
- Experience working with version control systems (Git is #1 preference)
- Experience working on responsive web designs & having specialized in HTML, CSS
- Experience in an ecommerce environment
- Experience translating Figma comps into pixel-perfect pages
- Experience working and building relationships cross functionally (i.e. different stakeholders, creative, design team, marketing, site management, etc.)
- High attention to detail
- Design-minded
