Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Pega Application Engineer with at least 8 years of hands-on Pega development experience. The consultant will support the implementation and expansion of Pega capabilities across Personal, Commercial, and Specialty Insurance lines.
The project uses Pega Constellation with React for front-end development and Java for back-end services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications using Pega.
- Support Pega 24 and Pega Constellation implementations.
- Develop custom components using Constellation SDKs and React.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Pega solutions.
- Develop and integrate Java/J2EE back-end services.
- Provide technical guidance to development teams.
- Perform code reviews and enforce development standards.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, and environment issues.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, QA teams, and offshore resources.
- Support DevOps, deployments, testing, and multiple application environments.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing.
- Identify technical risks and recommend effective solutions.
Required Skills
- 8 years of hands-on Pega development experience.
- Strong experience with Pega 24.
- Experience with Pega Constellation, Constellation SDKs, and custom component development.
- 5 years of Java/J2EE web application development experience.
- Strong experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience with Java, Tomcat, JSON, REST integrations, CSS3, and HTML5.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles.
- Experience with UX concepts and responsive web application development.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, build processes, testing, and deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Pega Certified Lead System Architect certification.
- Experience with AngularJS, AJAX, and jQuery.
- Property and Casualty insurance industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
