Azure DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer who will Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines for a data warehouse solution in Azure environment. Work as part of a DevOps team to setup and support application deployment in Azure cloud with strict government security and compliance requirements.

Duties

• Setup and configure Azure cloud infrastructure for data warehouse solution
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Configure Azure data services (Synapse, Data Lake, Storage)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform, Bicep)
• Setup automated build and deployment processes
• Configure network security, firewalls, and VPNs per NYC requirements
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Setup Azure Key Vault for secrets management
• Configure Azure Active Directory integration and MFA
• Ensure compliance with NYC security policies and standards
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Establish Express Route connection if required
  
  

Mandatory Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps
• Strong Azure expertise (Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification preferred)
• Experience with large-scale data warehouse cloud deployments
• Strong automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, Bash)
• Infrastructure as Code expertise (ARM Templates, Terraform, Bicep)
• Azure DevOps proficiency (Repos, Pipelines, Boards)
• Git and TFS version control
• Azure data services experience (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory)
• Security implementation (Azure Security Center, Azure Policy)
  
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Government project experience, preferably NYC
• Experience with NYC security compliance requirements
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge
• Experience with ExpressRoute setup
• AppScan/Veracode integration experience
• Disaster recovery planning experience
