Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from initial business case and process design through equipment installation, validation, launch, and ramp-up.
- Develop and optimize assembly processes, standard work, production-line layouts, labor plans, time standards, capacity models, and material-flow strategies.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility, Make-versus-Buy, cost, throughput, productivity, and facility-utilization analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define tooling, equipment, and facility requirements, including technical specifications, statements of work, and supplier bid packages.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and production launches through process planning, line balancing, ergonomic assessments, build support, and readiness reviews.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, IT, and external suppliers to resolve complex production challenges.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, optimize resources, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Maintain manufacturing documentation, records, and reporting systems to support production performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor less-experienced engineers, and serve as a subject-matter expert in manufacturing and industrial engineering practices.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
- Master's degree and at least 3 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
- At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
- At least 1 years of lead experience
