Job Description
We are seeking an experienced International Tax Preparer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in U.S. and international tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping, along with proficiency in QuickBooks.
This position is ideal for a tax professional who is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during tax season. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, providing flexibility while maintaining collaboration with our Miami-based team.
Please note: During busy season, this position requires approximately 45–60 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Prepare and assist with international tax filings and reporting requirements
- Assist clients with U.S. and international tax compliance
- Review and analyze client financial records and supporting tax documentation
- Perform bookkeeping and financial statement preparation using QuickBooks
- Assist clients with tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of U.S. tax laws and international tax regulations
- Support business clients with payroll, sales tax filings, and general accounting matters
- Identify potential tax issues and ensure filings are accurate and compliant
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally to clients
- Collaborate with a dynamic and professional team in a hybrid work environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting
- Experience with international tax preparation and reporting
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal tax laws and international tax regulations
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and bookkeeping
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities during tax season
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Experience working in a CPA firm, tax firm, or accounting firm is a plus
- Ability to work approximately 45–60 hours per week during busy season
