SEEKING AN OUTGOING “PEOPLE PERSON” TO REPRESENT OUR HIGH SCHOOL EXCHANGE STUDENT PROGRAM

We’re Hiring!

The International Student Exchange (ISE) program is growing and looking for an outgoing, community-minded individual to join as an ISE Program Representative in Iowa!

This flexible 1099 side job is ideal if you’re looking for something meaningful and community-focused that fits easily into your life. It’s a wonderful opportunity for educators, homemakers, and community-engaged individuals who love connecting with people and making a difference close to home. You’ll work within a 20-mile radius of your community, helping to bring the world a little closer together—one student and one host family at a time. All training and onboarding are completed online, so you can get started comfortably from home and at your own pace.

Earn $2,300 for Three Placements:

Your earnings are placement-based, but the true reward comes from the experiences you help create. You’ll be the bridge that allows international students to experience life in America while supporting host families as they open their hearts and homes. Many Representatives describe this as more than a job—it’s a purpose-driven side profession that’s personally fulfilling and deeply rewarding.

As part of the ISE team, you’ll also have the chance to qualify for free annual group trips with other Representatives, traveling across the U.S. or abroad to share stories, celebrate successes, and make unforgettable memories together.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Local Schools: Work with public high schools to arrange enrollment for academic-year exchange students.
  • Recruit Volunteer Host Families: Find caring American families eager to share their homes, family dinners, and traditions with students from around the world.
  • Match Students and Families: Pair well-screened international students with host families based on shared interests, hobbies, and lifestyles to ensure a great fit.
  • Provide Ongoing Support: Stay connected with students and families throughout the school year, offering guidance, encouragement, and fun cultural activities.
  • Promote Cultural Understanding: Represent ISE in your community by building awareness of the benefits of hosting and cultural exchange.

About ISE Exchange Students:

As a representative, you’ll place and oversee ISE exchange students who are well-screened, adaptable, and eager to step outside their comfort zones. These remarkable young people, ages 14–18, come from more than 40 countries around the world. Each one chooses to leave behind their own traditions for a year to experience life in Iowa—attending the nearest public high school to their host family, joining sports teams and clubs, celebrating American holidays, and learning what community means in the heart of the Midwest.

They come prepared with their own spending money and medical insurance, ready to take responsibility for their experience
