ServiceNow Platform Architect
Introduction
International Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Architect with 10 years of experience to lead enterprise-scale ServiceNow architecture, governance, integrations, and platform operations. The role focuses on platform stability, scalability, security, automation, and modernization across large environments including MID Servers, integrations, CMDB/Discovery, IAM, and cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define platform architecture standards, governance, and environment strategy.
- Lead troubleshooting of critical production issues, performance bottlenecks, and complex integrations.
- Architect and manage large MID Server environments (500 servers), including HA, scaling, monitoring, and upgrades.
- Design REST/SOAP integrations and middleware solutions (MuleSoft/Boomi).
- Manage non-prod provisioning, cloning, upgrade planning, and release governance.
- Drive IAM/security architecture using SAML, OAuth, LDAP/AD, Vault/CyberArk.
- Implement credential lifecycle management and secure integration patterns.
- Build observability and performance monitoring using Splunk/New Relic.
- Oversee CMDB/Discovery architecture, reconciliation, data governance, and optimization.
- Lead platform modernization, testing strategy, rollback planning, and upgrade execution.
- Mentor admins/engineers and establish SDLC and design review best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise initiatives.
Requirements
- ServiceNow platform architecture and administration
- MID Servers, CMDB, Discovery
- REST/SOAP APIs and integrations
- JavaScript and scripting (PowerShell/Python/Bash preferred)
- IAM technologies: SAML, OAuth, LDAP/AD
- HashiCorp Vault / CyberArk
- Splunk / New Relic monitoring
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform preferred)
- DevOps/CI-CD exposure (Jenkins/Kafka/RabbitMQ/ETL)
Required Experience
- 10 years in ServiceNow platform architecture within large enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale MID Server deployments.
- Expertise in CMDB, Discovery, integrations, and platform governance.
- Strong production support and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience managing upgrades, cloning, automation, and release strategy.
Certifications
- ServiceNow CSA – Required
- ITIL v4 Foundation – Required
- ServiceNow CAD – Preferred
- ServiceNow CIS (ITOM/Discovery/CMDB preferred)
- Vault/CyberArk certifications - Preferred
