The Business Analyst role requires a blend of education, general and specialized experience, and the ability to perform key responsibilities related to business process analysis, documentation, and improvement.
Education qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in business administration or a related field of study is required.
- Current professional certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CAPM, or another relevant certification is preferred.
General experience
- At least 6 years of experience working on projects involving analysis and documentation of business processes.
- Experience in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) or leading business process reengineering initiatives for improved efficiency and control.
Specialized / preferred experience
- At least6 years of experience serving as a project manager or holding responsibility for the timely, efficient, and effective execution of complex tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage deliverables in structured project environments.
Key responsibilities
- Developing documentation and training materials for existing business processes to support consistency and knowledge transfer.
- Identifying gaps in internal controls and offering recommendations to remediate those gaps to strengthen governance and compliance.
- Developing, or coordinating with technical support staff to develop, tools or workflows within existing applications such as Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, ServiceNow, KAPS, and Revenue Premier in the organization’s technology environment.
- Reengineering business processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, cost effectiveness, and employee satisfaction across functional areas.
- Providing quality assurance testing or supporting the design and development of business processes that are migrating into new applications.
