Job Overview: The Youth Program Supervisor – Out of School Time (OST) leads a team of youth department staff to implement multiple programs that support refugee and immigrant youth succeed academically and socially. The role supports IRC Atlanta’s out-of-school time programming which currently consists of the Youth Futures, New Roots, My and New School programs. The Youth Program Supervisor, MNS, works with the Deputy Director of Integration and Immigration Programs (DDP-Integration) to develop and monitor strategic program plans, identify and secure grants to sustain and grow programs, and ensure reporting, compliance and budgeting requirements are satisfied through oversight of team members and activities. Additionally, the supervisor leads professional development specific to their program staff’s needs and provides regular feedback to staff on progress and performance. Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure youth success with a strong emphasis on youth-empowerment by monitoring the delivery of high-quality OST/after-school programming that support young people to thrive in their community.  Research and integrate innovative and evolving best practices on two- generation approaches to school engagement, newcomer/SLIFE and ELL school success, positive youth development, social emotional learning, and early learning programs into program designs and delivery plans. With input from the DDP-Integration and program staff, establish and implement annual and strategic goals and objectives to successfully achieve program outcomes.   With support from DDP-Integration and Resource Development team, develop funding proposals for the OST-Youth programs to ensure the continuous delivery of services Sustain and grow partnerships with the local school districts and other strategic partners to maximize their coordination, cooperation, and support. Represent IRC’s Youth Programs in the community and to potential funders, serving as a resource to those seeking information about program activities In collaboration with DDP-Integration ensure all programmatic, contractual, donor requirements, and IRC standards are met, including ensuring accurate and timely financial and client-related recordkeeping throughout the department In coordination with the DDP-Integration and Finance team, develop and monitor program and grant budgets Support relevant program staff with design and implementation of M&E plan that ensures program files and databases (enrollment, attendance, outcomes monitoring) are accurate and complete Supervise, coach, and support the professional development of a team of OST-Youth Program staff including Youth Futures Coordinator, My New School Coordinator, New Roots Coordinator, Youth Program Specialists, and Youth Program Assistants. Attend Youth Education Team meetings and complete administrative duties, including but not limited to reporting, timesheets, and expense reports Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Education: Master’s degree preferred in education, social work, counseling or the equivalent or more than 5 years relevant work experience Work Experience Minimum of 4 years’ experience with progressive levels of responsibility, including minimum of one (1) year experience supervisory and program coordination experience. Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant youth in an education setting, and experience in nonprofit program coordination or equivalent experience.  Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: Proven success planning and delivering creative and engaging OST-programming for ELLs Cultural competency training experience, desirable A belief in the ability of all youth to reach their education, career, and personal goals Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships. Demonstrated competency in program planning and implementation skills, including the ability to manage large groups of students and the ability to think creatively and strategically Initiative, creativity, and ability to complete projects independently Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes. Organized, responsible, and flexible: able to maintain responsibility for multiple tasks in the context of a diverse, fast-paced work environment and maintain composure under pressure Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired (such as: Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic, French, Haitian-Creole). Working Environment: A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Compensation: (Pay Range: $53,270 - $61,560) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
