Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced 2nd Shift CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CNC gearing machines to produce high-quality precision components. Duties
- Operate CNC machines such as milling, lathes, and gearing machines according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Perform routine inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify part dimensions.
- Maintain machine calibration and troubleshoot mechanical or electronic issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of hand tools, tooling, and facility safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency operating CNC machinery.
- Experience operating various manufacturing equipment such as milling, lathes, and gearing machines.
- Ability to read complex blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards for quality assurance.
- Mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience in machining environments.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures using precision measuring instruments like manual micrometers and calipers.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machine measurements.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
