The Job You Will Perform
- Operate lift trucks in a safe and effective manner
- Ensure correct product is sent through appropriate production line
- Ensure correct strapping patterns for product, and that loads are strapped with proper dunnage according to instructions and customer-specific request
- Monitor loads and notify supervisor regarding any product issues
- Monitor take-off line following strapping process, and load material onto designated trucks, requiring accurate record of load tallies
- Transporting product to the appropriate areas of the warehouse as needed
- Load warehoused product from the warehouse to the loading dock, as well as receive product from incoming trucks, sign for the receipt of it, and transport to designated department
- Turn in proper paperwork to the shipping office
- Rotate as needed between strapper position, take-off line lift truck and floor driver lift truck operation procedures
- Sweep trailers and floor areas
- Complete a daily safety check list, change propane tanks and check the fluids and air filters on their lift truck
- Ability to load and receive product efficiently, safely and accurately
- Ability to understand and follow general instructions as well as customer-specific requirements
- Ability to process paperwork accurately
- Possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a team
