What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Supervisor position at International Paper?
- Independently performing non-routine testing and lab work
- Writing technical reports with a summary, conclusions and recommendations
- Supervises and assists with the internal training, development and competency checks of lab staff
- Identifying and leading implementation of constructive change within work area
- Interpreting data trends using graphs and correlations with process knowledge and communicating appropriately
- Supervises timely and accurate preparation, analysis and quantitation of test samples
- Provides laboratory technical support (coordination with vendors for repairs, calibrations and coordinating with lab team for routine maintenance.)
- Supports and participates in lab Quality Control Programs
- Will participate in Weekend Duty Rotation
- BA or BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related/equivalent field of study required
- 2 years’ experience in an environmental laboratory setting
- Experience in a paper manufacturing setting is strongly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft and SAP Applications
- Active Learner
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented team player
