The General Helper / Utility employee supports plant operations by performing a variety of entry-level tasks across production, material handling, and housekeeping. This role is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency, equipment readiness, and a safe, organized work environment.

Position Summary
The General Helper / Utility employee supports plant operations by performing a variety of entry-level tasks across production, material handling, and housekeeping. This role is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency, equipment readiness, and a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist operators and production staff with setup, operation, and cleanup of machinery
- Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products within the facility
- Perform general labor tasks such as stacking, sorting, labeling, and packaging materials
- Maintain cleanliness of machines, work areas, and production floor (sweeping, removing waste, etc.)
- Support preventative maintenance activities and basic equipment care
- Follow instructions from supervisors to support different departments as needed
- Monitor materials and alert operators/supervisors of shortages or issues
- Adhere to all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Help reduce downtime by keeping work areas organized and stocked
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around industrial equipment
