Position Title: Baler Operator-Day Shift
Pay Rate: $21.15/hr. (first 90 days then $23.43/hr)
Sign-on Bonus
$500 after 30 days,
$500 after 6 months,
$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years
Category/Shift
Hourly Full-Time 7am-7pm working Week 1 Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs. Week 2 Tues, Fri, Sat (rotates every week)

The Job You Will Perform
Balers bale waste material, load waste materials into rail cars and trucks, input weight into QMS system for wet-end waste, and measure and record the weight of waste shipments.
Balers report to the Corrugator Supervisor.
Primary Baler Operator Duties / Responsibilities Include
The qualifications for the Baler position is the ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation; the certified ability to safely operate a fork lift truck; the ability to accurately use the scale located in the baler room; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to accurately read and record figures; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.

The Job You Will Perform

Primary Baler Operator Duties / Responsibilities Include
- following all safety rules and practices;
- accurately weighing waste bales, and recording bale weights on bale tallies;
- loading waste bales into rail cars;
- feeding waste into the shredder / hogger;
- obtaining waste loads from production areas as directed;
- maintaining a clean and organized baler room;
- loading seconds and other non-shredded waste into trucks for shipment;
- working with returned goods;
- cleaning the baler and notifying maintenance of problems as necessary;
- daily cleaning out the twister / inserter box;
- daily blowing out the radiator;
- daily cleaning out behind the ram following safe practices;
- daily blowing off or vacuuming the baler exterior;
- daily sweeping the baler room floors; and
- salvaging materials for protection sheets and other uses; and
- performing other duties as directed by the Corrugator Supervisor.
