The Job You Will Perform:
- Forklift Operator is responsible for the following duties, as outlined by his/her supervisor
- Complete the forklift checklist and communicate with maintenance on any issue
- Obtain tallies from Coordinator to be loaded
- Check trailer appearance for cleanliness, damage, safety
- Check unit appearance - proper dunnage, bands, load tags, special instructions
- Scan unit from discharge line
- Locate and scan to proper area – trailer or location
- Load trailer – scan unit, scan door
- Check computer for last unit
- Communicate shortage, overrun partials, damage to Coordinator
- Completion of trailer – Check cube, put on load bar, notify Coordinator
- Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment
- Operator must keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets
- Operator must be able to safely lift/move up to 75lbs during regular work shift
- Operator must follow lock-out/ tag-out procedures
- Counting and stacking finished product
- Reading orders
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler
