What are the responsibilities and job description for the DISPATCHER - CONTAINER OPERATION position at INTERNATIONAL MOTOR FREIGHT?
International Motor Freight is looking for an experienced dispatcher.
We are a well-established asset-based container drayage carrier located in Port Newark, NJ. The person we are looking for must be dependable, conscientious, and able to follow directions. Knowledge of import / export trucking in the NJ piers is required.
Duties include:
Interacting with customer service and dispatch teams to execute daily delivery plans.
Coordinating the pick-up, delivery and return of containers with company drivers.
Setting up pick up and return appointments at APM and Port Liberty Terminals.
Tracking and tracing equipment to avoid demurrage and per diem costs.
Handling mechanical breakdowns and equipment issues.
Coordinating road service when required.
Entering key event information into computer system.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45.0 – 50.0 per week
