Provides direct management of department personnel. Allocates resources based
on departmental plans & budgets. Responsible for hire/fire decisions within their department.
Submits departmental budgets, performance/productivity targets, and reports on results.
Responsible for providing manufacturing work orders based on customer demand and inventory
safety stock levels. Responsible for coordinating the completion of device history records (DHR, LHR and SHR) between APO, IMO and QC. Works closely with manufacturing engineering, assembly and packaging operations, and injection molding operations teams to plan and schedule injection molding tool and product validations. Measured against performance plan goals and objectives. Responsible for departmental performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and manage a planning process that incorporates capacity planning and
scheduling of molded parts, inventory, material, and cost elements to optimize inventory.
• Work with managers of APO, IMO and warehouse departments to ensure that all inventory
transactions are performed correctly and in a timely manner in the ERP system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for
production planning to support customer demand.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining ERP BOM changes and routings.
• Knowledge of QT9 ERP allowing troubleshooting and data testing.
• Responsible for processing manufacturing work orders based on demand and operational
resources.
• Provide knowledgeable feedback on process improvements to IMI’s ERP, work order, and
inventory modules.
• Maintain results through coaching, counseling of staff, and setting meaningful and measurable
goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, math, business administration, or related field required.
• 3 years of production planning, inventory, production scheduling and control, logistics, or
related experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to manufacturing business
systems and models, BOM management, and purchasing.
• Working knowledge of planning systems, material requirements, parameters, and theories.
• Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and
computer skills, including ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
• Performs well under pressure and can handle multiple projects at one time.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive and professional with all internal and external customers.
• Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or knowledge.
Physical / Mental Demands:
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or carry loads of up to 20 pounds.
• Work may require weekend and evening work.
• Work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
