We provide professional excellence with joy and celebration to all those we serve.   The Need  For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Global Programs Intern to join the 2026 Summer Internship class. The Global Programs Intern will support the Global Programs division, which provides leadership, direction, and services on measurement and program management to our colleagues and partners to protect people in poverty from violence. Global Programs leads IJM’s global programmatic standards and intervention design for IJM’s justice system interventions. The Global Programs Intern will support the multi-faceted Operations and Portfolio Management team supporting the key initiatives of the division and ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Tasks may include: Coordinating and supporting events and training; Intranet site management; Compiling reports and data; Project management; Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.    This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Lead, Global Programs. The position requires 40 hours per week. Summer internship program dates are June 1 – Aug. 7, 2026. Application Deadline: Dec. 31, 2025. General Qualifications and Required Skills   Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC/Remote Internships and applicants need to have completed at least two years of undergraduate study.  Experience with using Microsoft Suite. Experience in intranet site management and resource development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
